Silicone overlay is 100% food grade silicone and heat resistant up to 450 degrees. Has a great grip and can be washed off in the kitchen sink. If you plan to wash your oven mitt in the washing machine then you should pre-wash your fabric because the silicon will not shrink but the fabric will.
